She was predeceased by: her father Jacob Retzler; her son Charles Jacob Souder; and her brother Paul Retzler. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Souder; her children, Pamela LaVelle, Dawn Lindley and Michael Souder; her grandchildren, Tyler Souder, Lindzey Carroll, Jacob Souder and Hanna Lindley; and her great grandchildren, Lorelei and Rhyleigh.

Memorials may be made in Marie's honor to the Tunica Humane Society or any other rescue group of the donor's choice.
