It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorine Hope of Byhalia, Mississippi, born in Benton, Mississippi, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Major Beard and Anna Crum Beard; her children, Wille Rine Smith, Dorothy Smith, Laverne Hope Crutcher, Gary Hope and Larry Hope; and her siblings, James Beard, Walter Beard, Lucy Jones, Dorothy Stinson, Ada Harris and Ethel Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Myles of Byhalia, MS, Lester Hope of Byhalia, MS and Bradley (Elvira); and her brothers, William Beard (Georgia) of Memphis, TN and Major Beard Jr. (Diane) of Memphis, TN.. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, and 35 great great grandchildren.
