He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Shaw and Hellen Shaw; and his siblings, Jean Player, Lamar Shaw and Jimmy Shaw.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Burnette Shaw; his son Craig Shaw (Emily); and his grandchildren, Carter Shaw and Briley Shaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
