He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie Lee and Riley Mae Sorrell; and his siblings, Hollis Sorrell, Sylvia Harper and Betty Ann Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Sorrell; his children, Jody Sorrell (Deborah), Lynn Harmon (Billy), Isaac Sorrell (Emily), Sherry Williams (Robert), Ray Bumpus and Wanda Campbell (Jay); and his sisters, Joyce Sorrell (Tina), Linda Watts (Jim) and Marie Sanders. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
