With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Joyce Lester of Byhalia, Mississippi, born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, who passed away on April 3, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Walker and Katherine Clayton Walker; her husband Jack Lester; her grandson Andrew Benson; and her brother James Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Anita Johnson (Jeff) of Austin, TX, Teresa Comer (Mike) of Michigan City, MS, James Yarbrough (Renee) of Murfreesboro, TN, Valery Skipper (Joey) of Byhalia, MS and Connie Lester of Byhalia, MS; and her sisters, Dale Letson and Patsy Hooper. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
