It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Shackelford Greer of Byhalia, Mississippi, born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Boothe and Willie Melvin Boothe; her former husband Murell Shackelford; her son Melvin Shackelford; and her brother Jack Boothe.

She is survived by: her husband William H. Greer of Byhalia; her children, Linda Treadwell (Stanley) of Byhalia, Theresa Runnels (Kenny) of Starkville and Tommy Shackelford (Shelia) of Byhalia; her stepson Tommy Greer of Walnut Ridge, AR; and her siblings, Ada Sandusky (Phil) of Freelandville, IN and Jimmy Boothe (Mary) of Walnut Ridge, AR. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
