He was predeceased by: his father Freddie Lee Fretwell; and his grandparents, William B. Fretwell, Gertie Fretwell Mayfield, Paul and Sarah Townsel.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Osborn Fretwell; his children, Audrey, Isabella, Hadlee, Lynlee, Kaydence and Mattox; his mother Sarah Herston; his siblings, Lacey Wright (Scott), David Lee Fretwell (Lori), Paul Herston, Matt Herston and Michael Herston; his nieces, Sara Fretwell and Lexi Fretwell; and his parents-in-law, Steve and Michelle Osborn.
