She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Morgan Hines and Lucy Lee Parke Hines; her husband Hugh L. "Sonny" King; her former husband James Lavender; her son Kenneth L. "Moe" King; and her brothers, John Hines and Larry Hines.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Mooney (David); her daughter-in-law Dee King; her grandchildren, Brad Foster (Courteney), Mollie King (Tracy Jones), Katie Shappley (Cody) and Walter King (Jennifer Jones); and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Lucas, Sunnie-Kate, Sonny, Cade and Kendall.
