He is survived by: his wife Mary Lucille Harris of Brooklyn; his children, James Ray Harris, Jr. of Hattiesburg, Brenda Joyce Holloway of Brooklyn and Kimberly Ann Harris of Purvis; his brother Elbert Harris, Sr.; and his nieces and nephews, Elbert "Butch" Harris, Jr. (Judy) of Hattiesburg, Dwayne Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Gayle Simmons of Hattiesburg, Karen Pigg of Purvis, Nancy Mitchell of Georgia and Tammie Harris. He is also survived by three grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
