He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend C. and Rosa Gerald; and his siblings, Nell Robbins, Gayle Gerald and Sam Gerald.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Gerald; his children, Ben Bernie Gerald, Jr. (Laurie) of Bedford, Alton Wyatt Gerald (Sherry) of Mobile, Clyde Mark Gerald (Alison) of Thomasville and Melissa Dawn Webb of Brooklyn; and his siblings, Patricia Williams, Sandra Price of Brooklyn, Darlene Dawson of Vicksburg, Reverend John Gerald, Reverend Billy Gerald of Brookhaven, Reverend Ralph Gerald and Paul Gerald of Brooklyn. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
