He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carlos Hathorn and Sallie Bell Haynes Hathorn; his brother Alford Hathorn; his son-in-law Dean Boutwell; and his parents-in-law, Michael O'Roarke Speights and Beulah Courtney Speights.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Speights Hathorn; his children, William Michael Hathorn (Jana), Elizabeth Anne Hathorn, Kimberley Kaye Calcote (Preston), Courtney Dianne Owens (Chuck) and Carla LeAnne Boutwell; his sister Mary Nell Patterson (Charles); his grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsay, Lanie Heffker, Ryan, Rachel, Ross Calcote, Trace, Turner, Trent Owens, Owen, Oliver, Anna Claire, Cooper Boutwell, Bonnie Hutcheson (Blake), Adalyn Kate and Grayson Hathorn; and his brother-in-law Bobby Speights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heucks Retreat Baptist Church, Sanctuary Renovation Fund, 2167 Heucks Retreat Road NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
