She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottis L. Bynum and Beedie Bush Bynum; her husband Sam C. Smith; her sister Patricia Purser; her stepson Paul K. Smith; and her great grandchild Camden Sheldon.
She is survived by: her siblings, Wesley "Buddy", Sie, Ottis Jr., Jerry Bynum (Patsy), Louise Gregory (Earl) and Carolyn Box; her son Harrell Stewart (Linda); and her stepson Jeffrey Smith (Lupita). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
