It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Seldon Laverne Owens (Brookhaven, Mississippi), who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Porter and Sudie Beatrice Porter; her husband Juele Dean Owens; her granddaughters, Jane Ellen Roberts and Jessica Leann Pigg; and her brothers, Euell and Kenneth Porter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Montgomery (Jimmy), Kathy Roberts, Betty Sharpe (Kevin) and Julie Horton (Phil); her siblings, Harold Porter and Joyce Wooten; and her grandchildren, Terry Spencer, Jim Montgomery, Beth Covington, Nathan Roberts, Luke Roberts, Skye Allbritton, Christy and Jamye Sharpe. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
