He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Hughes Powell, Jr. and Particia Darlene Bartow Powell; his brother Ryan Powell; and his grandparents, Darwin, Virginia Bartow, C. H. and Cornelia Powell.
He is survived by: his fiancé Kala Adams; his partner's son Nick Burns (Maggie); his brother Chris Powell (Amy) of Hernando, MS; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, and other loving family members and friends.
