It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland Elgin Lea of Brookhaven, Mississippi, born in Sontag, Mississippi, who passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivo Alexander Lea and Naomi Kleinpeter Lea; his wife Doris Coker Lea; and his siblings, Phillip Douglas Lea, Roscoe Lea, Ivo H. Lea, Marcus Lea, Ivolene Lea Coker and Delores Lea Greer.
He is survived by: his children, Reggie Lea (Rita), Melinda Calvert (Brian), Dwana Wright (Rick) and Todd Lea; his brother Teunnison Lea (Johnnie); his grandchildren, Rosanna Belle Lea, Laura Elizabeth Wright, John Coker Wright, Austin Todd Lea and Addison Kenzie Lea; his great grandchild John Hayes Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Lea, Kay Lea and Hubert Greer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Brookhaven Exchange Club and the Easthaven Sr. Adults Sunday School Class.
