Rita Davis Cothern Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2025, at the age of 80, Rita Davis Cothern of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Hilton Davis and Maggie Ellisteen Cowart Davis; and her siblings, Melvin Homer Davis and Robbie Davis Jackson. She is survived by: her husband Donald Edward Cothern; her daughter Dawn Cothern Covington (Brent); her sisters, Jane Davis Heath and Patsy Davis Cothren; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hennington (Brad Lewis), Suzanna Hennington, Preston Hennington and Cole Covington; and her great grandchild Sutton Hennington.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Baptist Church New Family Life Center Building Fund.
