He is survived by: his wife Diann Leggett Allen; his daughter Tina Brister-Ates (Eric); his sister Winifred Hamilton (J. J.); his grandchildren, Dane Brister (Renee), Savannah LeBlanc (James), Robert Greer, Jr. and Collin Burns; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Fugler (Clark) and Bruce Leggett (Sharon).
