He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thompson and Nora Blackmon Thompson; and his brother James Bennett Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Scarlett Thompson; and his children, David Thompson, Breanna West, Misty Pilet and Jeffrey Pilet, Jr.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
