She was predeceased by: her parents, Buel Howell and Mildred Summers Howell. She is survived by: her husband Bill Strahan; her daughter Jennifer Barron Welch (Arnie); her grandchildren, Krissy Barker, Shelly Barker, Heather Smith (John) and Lilly Nobles; her stepsons, Spencer Strahan (Janie) and Lance Strahan (Lori); and her sisters, Virginia Pope (Wallace) and Charlotte Martin (Orville). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
