It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pauline Stringer Vaughan (Brookhaven, Mississippi), born in Bude, Mississippi, who passed away on October 10, 2018, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sebren Stringer and Margery McCoy Stringer; her husband Ingram Vaughan; her son Thomas Ingram Vaughn; her siblings, Thelma Stringer, Rachael "Dolly" Stringer, Charlene Stringer, Walter Stringer and James Dale Stringer; her grandson John Talmadge Paxton, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Nealey Blair Brown, Angel Paxton and Shawn Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Vaughan Paxton (John) of Houston, TX and John E. Vaughan (Vicki) of Vicksburg, MS; her daughter-in-law Vicki Vaughn of Carriere, MS; and her grandchildren, Jason Vaughn (Karla), Heather Vaughan Brown, Veronica Vaughn McNew (Trigg), Graham Vaughan, Jessica Vaughan Clark (Josh) and Rhonda Paxton Dahn. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Vaughan's name may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund, 1502 Friendship Lane NW, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
