He is survived by: his wife Louise Findley Hamil of Brookhaven; his children, Larry "Tonka" Hamil (Ashly) of Brookhaven, Tisha Hamil Wallace (Kevin) of Jayess, Tina McHenry Brown (Brian) of Madison and Tammy Hamil Thurman (Brian) of Monticello; his sisters, Kathy Richmond (David) of Hattiesburg and Sue Stinson of Ridgeland; his grandchildren, Holli Riley (Corey), Regan Sanders (Taylor), Gracie Stephens (Logan), Shelby Terrell Delaney Wallace (Austin), Dalton McHenry (Lauren), Ashley Brown, Emmy Brown, Dillon Thurman (Kayla) and Will Thurman (Maya); and his great grandchildren, John Findley Riley, Ramsey Riley, Harrison Riley, Millie Sanders, Grayson Sanders, Lila Cole, Frannie Terrell, Kinley Jeffus, John Luke Thurman, Fisher Thurman and Meredith Ann McHenry. He is also survived by His children and grandchildren all agree that their father and grandfather.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the New Hebron Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
