She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel S. Bowling, Jr.; her parents, Margaret Brewer Alexander and Joe Alexander; and her siblings, Dr. Jack Wingate Alexander and Margaret Alexander Black.

She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Seymour Bowling, III (Elizabeth) and David Alexander Bowling (Jean); her brother Joe Alexander; and her grandsons, Daniel S. Bowling, IV, Edward Alexander Bowling and Joseph Emmet Bowling. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
