It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Lane Smith of Brookhaven, Mississippi, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Lane Smith and Gertie Lou Tillotson Smith; and his sister Marcia Loraine Smith Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Weathersby Smith; his sister Jeanette Smith Bounds; his sons, Gregory and Steven; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Chloe and Rose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
