He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Gilbert Spence and Lillian Corinna Roberts Spence; his son Jeffrey Gilbert Spence; and his siblings-in-law, Terri Beach, Gladys Beach Taylor (Lealon), Lamar Beach (Leatrice), Gary Beach (Shirley), Bobby Beach, Billy Beach, Wayne Beach and Roy Beach.
He is survived by: his wife Helen B. Spence; his daughters, Jodie Sartin (Steve) and Rebecca McDowell (Tim); his siblings-in-law, Donald Beach, Margie Rogers, Lattiemore Beach, Jenny Beach, Dorothy Beach and Phyllis Beach; his grandchildren, Hunter McDowell (Lauren), Brady Hall (Katy), Emily Torres (Camilo) and Kristen Blanks (Bo); and his great grandchildren, Kyler McDowell, Hayden McDowell, Liam Thacker, Easton Barnes, Parker Torres, Addison Blanks, Madilyn Torres, Ella Torres, Claire McDowell and Gilbert Hall. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members, friends, and friends.
