She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Richardson and Maybell Sullivan Richardson; her husband James Edwin Farris Sr.; her son James Edwin "Jamie" Farris Jr.; her siblings, John Richardson (Willie Del), Joan Idom and Danny Richardson; and her brother-in-law James Frank "Bugs" Barker.
She is survived by: her children, John E. Farris and Dr. Linda Farris; her sister Mary Ann Barker; her grandchildren, Ashley Farris Martin (Jacob), Logan Smith (Madison), Lee Smith (Sara), Kaley Farris, Dylan Farris (Toby) and Cody Farris; and her great grandchildren, Aibry Martin and Rhyder Martin.
