He is survived by: his children, Mary Posey, Ronnie Herring (Robin) and Jerry Herring; his grandchildren, Andrea Grammer, Michael Thornton (Anita), Justin Herring and Shane Herring (Kellie); his great grandchildren, Stephanie Grammer, Bradley Grammer, Johnny Bass, Abigail Brister (Bradyn), Mitchell Thornton (Ashton), Colton Herring and Tyler Herring; and his great great grandchildren, Braxtyn Brister, Tucker Thornton, Archer Thornton and Miller Thornton.
