She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Case and Alma Anding Case; her husband Ervin Smith; her son-in-law Don Pepper; and her siblings, Clinton Case, Cleveland Case, Earl Case, Robert Case, J. W. Case, Bennon Case, Carrie Bell Case, Mary Lou Smith and Elsie Covington.
She is survived by: her children, Les Smith (Diane), Lou Norton (Gary), Peggy Pepper and Tony Smith (Katherine); her brother Alton Case (Minnie); and her grandchildren, Dean, David, Dewayne Smith, Gary Wayne, Shane, Jeremy Norton, Amy Hall, Jody Pepper, Rebecca Byrd and Justin Smith. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
