She was predeceased by: her parents, Houston Jordan and Gladys Jordan; her husband Ronald "Brooks" Barksdale; her siblings, Louise Jordan Clecker and Calvin H. Jordan Jr.; and her brother-in-law Lamar Case, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Shea Barksdale, Joseph "Dusty" Barksdale and David Jenkins; her sister Virginia Jordan Brumfield; her siblings-in-law, Glenn E. Brumfield, Nita Jordan, Rita Ann Case and Ann Barksdale (Larry); her close friends, Sandra Elmore, Brenda Davis and Cathie Smith; her grandchildren, Gavin Barksdale, Alexis Barksdale and Olive Barksdale; her cousin Tommy Thompson; and also Dana Barksdale. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Union Hall (1242 Nola Rd NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
