He is survived by: his wife Doris Nicholson Counts of Brookhaven, MS; his children, John Counts, Jr. (Vicki) of Oklahoma City, OK and Michelle Counts Smith (Rob) of Bogue Chitto, MS; his grandchildren, Alexander Myers (Mason), John-Crawford (Abbey), Maddie Ogden, Nick Ogden (Maggie) and Sophie Smith; his great grandchildren, Murphy and Millie Kate Myers; and his sister Hattie Mae Winstead. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
