Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Nations of Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 87, on January 2, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Versie Nations and Iva Nations; his sisters, Iva Nell Foster and Annalo Wallace; his siblings-in-law, Amarylis Nations, Ed Foster and Malcolm Wallace; and his nephews, Dean Foster and Dr. Mickey Wallace.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Nations and Paula Yancey; his children-in-law, Jim Yancey and Neely Nations; his grandchildren, Landon Stennett (April), Brian Yancey (Paige), Beaux Yancey (Lindsey), Haley Nations, Lynsey Nations and Paul Nations; his great grandchild Michelle Bass; and his nephews, Freddy and Timmy Nations.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fair River Baptist Church (3698 Fair River Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery (3698 Fair River Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601).
