He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton King and Lucille Sutton King; and his brother Clifton David King. He is survived by: his wife Karon Richardson King; his brother Wayne King (Terry); his nephews, Lorin King, Dustin King and Shelton Lambert; his niece Hollie Cupit Campbell; and his great-nephew Drayce Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnnie E and Pauline H. Wells Scholarship at Co-lin.
