It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Moak Thames of Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore R. Moak and Erma Mae Canoy; her son David Hartley Thames; and her siblings, Teddy Moak, Peggy Seago and Norma Hart.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Gene" Thames; her siblings, Roger Moak (Geraldine) and Joyce Allred (Danny Ray); and her close friends, Trey, Cathy Oldham, Walker and Courtney Franck. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
