She was predeceased by: her husbands, Marvin Alward and Charles H. Stringer; her children, Hanna K. Stringer and Daniel Stringer; and her sister Dorothy Moulder.

She is survived by: her children, Ben P. Stringer (Debra), Timmy Stringer, Judy Boyte (Tony) and Terrina Hill; and her brother Johnny Perry. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
