It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Swager of Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on September 19, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Earline Williams Swager; and his children, David McDaniel and Cara Staley. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Ministries at 397 Brookhaven St. Brookhaven, MS 39601.

“While I have not seen James much in the last 30 years, he and Earlene did come to the funeral of my mother (Kathleen Yarbrough) ten years ago. It was wonderful to renew our acquaintance. We corresponded by email several times a year since then, mainly about the passing of World War 2 heroes. James was truly a member of the greatest generation and I have gratitude for his service. I will always treasure his stories about the war. My sympathy to Earlene and the family for their loss.”
