He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford McKinley Brown and Lee Etta Wilkinson; his granddaughter Courtney Marie Case; his siblings, Clifford Brown, Jr., Alvin J. Brown, Opal Hare and Mickey Bosworth; and his son-in-law Michael A Carr.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Fay Nevels Brown; his grandchildren, Chadwick Michael Carr, Bradford James Carr and Zachary Memphis Carr; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Nevels (Sue) and Memphis Howard Nevels.
