He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie William Gatlin and Annie Bell Hawkins; and his sister Shelby Davis. He is survived by: his wife Thomas Ann Smith Gatlin; his sons, Chris C. Gatlin (Barbara) and Todd P. Gatlin (Vicki); and his grandchildren, Austin Gatlin, Gabe Moore, Allisen Moore, Destiny Gatlin, Natalie Moore, Corey Gatlin, Josh Gatlin, Jon Gatlin and Ethan Gatlin. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members and friends.
