He was predeceased by: his parents, Versie Ford Nations and Elsie Ethel Brister Nations; his wife Eva Imogene Anding Nations; his sons-in-law, Randy Pepper and Reggie McCullough; and his siblings, Loyd, Leo, Carroll, Rex, Reggie, Wes, Lanelle, Imogene, Gerley, Jan and Jeanette.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Pepper, Dudley Nations (Susan), Jackie McCullough and Lisa Jackson (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Heather Wallace (Darron), Hope Smith (Toby), Jason Nations (Lanna), Ryan McCullough (Melinda), James Thornton Jr., Chris Thornton (Autumn) and Bridget DeDeaux Rusti (Jeremy); and his siblings, Don Nations and Sylvia Williamson. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery (1230 Macedonia Rd NW, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
