He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elsie Shirley Vest, Vernon Shirley, Inez Shirley Stephens and Bonnie Jean Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Virginia H. "Ginny" Shirley; his children, Michael Shirley of Hermanville, MS, Dean Shirley (Rhoda) of Wesson, MS and Virginia L. "Ginger" Shirley of Cambridge, MA; his siblings, James Shirley of Baton Rouge, LA, Vernice Cook of Brookhaven, MS, Catherine Middleton of Terry, MS and Delores Bennett of Denham Springs, LA.; and his grandchildren, Hunter Shirley, Ryan Shirley, Rebekah Shirley and Elizabeth Shirley.
