He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Boyd and Elcille Buie Boyd; his wife Bobbie N. Boyd; and his parents-in-law, Alfred and Ona Mae McGuffie.
He is survived by: his son Dusty Boyd (Amanda); his siblings-in-law, Don R. McGuffie and Mary Agnes McGuffie; his grandchildren, Danica Boyd and Bethany Hardy; and his great grandchild Gavin.
