Gloria Jean (Buie) Porter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Jean (Buie) Porter (Brookhaven, Mississippi), who passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Gloria Jean Porter was born May 18, 1949 to the late Azria (Bob) Buie and the late Rebecca Buie in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was married to Amos Porter since September of 2008. Gloria passed away on November 13, 2021, after a long bout of sicknesses.

Gloria Jean attended the Brookhaven Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and dedicated her life to Jehovah on November 22, 2003. We will remember her amazing talents. She drew self portraits and enjoyed taking ordinary items from the outside and making them in beautiful. Gloria loved getting her hair and nails done, and wearing stylish clothes and high heel shoes. She was generous and loved riding cross country. She loved to laugh and the sound of that laugh will be missed.

She is survived by her 4 children Simone, William, Kris, and Donna. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also mourning are her siblings Floreesa, Jimmy, Jerry, James, and Jonathon. She is predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Ann Adams and her brother Joseph Buie.
