Geraldine Freeman Byrd Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 84, Geraldine Freeman Byrd of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Lowery Freeman and Lois Summers Freeman; her husband C. H. Byrd; her sister Barbara Dykes; and her nephew Dana Walley.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Byrd (Roni), April Williford (Joey), Maye Sullivan (Bill), June Travis (Chris) and Stephen Byrd (Melanie); her siblings, Jerry Freeman (Lois), Evon Freeman (Grace), Don Freeman (Deborah), Roger Dale Dykes and Hazel Walley; her grandchildren, Ashley Herring, Tyler Williford, Kristina Stinson, Joshua Sullivan, Austin Travis, Canon Travis, Blakeney Byrd and Gary Byrd; her caregiver Sondra Smith; and her nieces, Imogene Galloway and Mary Lee Byrd. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Riverwood Family (76 US-51, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
