He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Wells and Pauline Haley Wells; his son Wayman Stuart Wells; and his siblings, Laverne Norwood, Maureen Richardson and Arthur Wells.
He is survived by: his daughter Georgia Anne Wells (Michelle Bagby); his grandchildren, Stuart Wayman Wells, Jr., Emily Wells Smith (Jeremy), Sara Burkett (Corey) and Hadley Wells Harborth; his brother Steve Wells; his friend Stacy Wooldridge; and his nieces, Kathryn, Karon, Sharon and Renee. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Heuck's Retreat Cemetery (2167 Heucks Retreat Rd NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601).
