He was predeceased by: his parents, Grandberry Smith and Eula Smith Smith; his wife Lee Ruie Case Smith; and his siblings, Bernice Calcote, Helen Robin, Winnie Smith, Hoyte Smith and Ed Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Dewey Steven Smith (Jane) and Alan Dale Smith (Sharon).
