He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norton and Eunice Norton; and his siblings, Maxine Kimble (Ernest) and James Edwin Norton. He is survived by: his nephew Randy Kimble (Janet); his nieces, Dianne Rials (Nick) and Brenda Pound; and his significant other Jan Woodward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in David R. Norton's name may be made to: Batson Children's Hospital or St Jude's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
