He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Diedrich Oestmann and Ida Wolff Oestmann; his brother Melvin Oestmann (Dorothy); his nephew Jeffrey Johnston; and his sister-in-law Betty Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Oestmann (Cathy) of Midland and Melissa Lea Oestmann of Norman, Oklahoma.; his granddaughters, Laura (Travis Bow) of Reno, NV, Elizabeth (Derek Nichols), Melissa (Tyler Garner) and Hallie (Austin Wilson); his great grandchildren, Gunnar, Jane, Roger, Hadelyn, Ruger and Sunley; his sister Nelda (Willard Johnston) of Tulsa, OK; his nephew Ron Oestmann; and his grandsons-in-law, Travis Bow, Derek Nichols, Tyler Garner and Austin Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Texas Children's Heart Center in support of their new Fontan Clinic benefiting children with congenital heart defects.
