He was predeceased by: his father James Kennedy Mallette (Snooks); and his brothers, John K. Mallette and Gary Mallette. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Mallette; his children, Shannon Boyle (Pat) and Bernell Mallette (Kim); and his siblings, Naomi Mallette, Sharon Goss (Albert), Karen Goss (Freddie), Sabra Horne (Jay), Gretta Welch, Lisa Stokes (Rodney), George Mallette (Jackie) and Tony Mallette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

“continued- they bailed off each side and gave him a proper tongue lashing. He said it was worth it and just laughed & laughed. He loved his sweet momma so much! I hope he will be close to the corral and his horses. I miss you Jame love your cousin Sylvia Williams. We always ended our phone conversations with James saying remember I love you Sylvia and me saying I know James!”

“I am sorry to learn that James has died. He Always had a yarn to tell be fact or be it fiction. I think back to the year 1998 as we all were at Mancos (Dolores) Colorado on a pipeline job of how much James enjoyed eating homemade chokecherry jelly on homemade cathead biscuits. Also the many times he would laugh about easing up behind his cousin Pug and her friend Pam as they rode the Kawasaki Mule up Sims Pond Road from Sabe's in his big truck and blowed the horn.”
