Though Bertha Rae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bertha Rae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her children, Bobbie Nell Cowart and Mitchell "Bo" McLain; her parents, George Dykes and Mellie Dykes; and her siblings, Joe Dale Dykes, Ulis George Dykes, Laverne Touchstone and Bernice Faye Odom.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Bailey (James) of Braxton, MS, Jerry McLain (Deborah) of Brandon, MS and Tina McLain (Tracy) of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
