He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Powell and Elyria Latimer Powell. He is survived by: his children, Wanda Shettles (Lewis), Keith Townsend (Leigh) and Beckey Hinton (Bob); his sister Patsy Woolington; and his grandchildren, Christie Lain (David), Leslie Campbell (Scott), Paula Tuccio (Joey), Alissa Armstrong (J. R.) and Chris Hinton (Melissa). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
