She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Chambliss Reaves and Ollie Mae Holton Reaves; her husband Sammy M. Copeland, Sr.; her son Sammy M. Copeland, Jr.; and her brother Charles Junior Reaves.

She is survived by: her daughter Pam Vertucci (Joey); her grandchildren, Amanda Copeland, Nicole Vertucci and Austin Vertucci (Kiley); her great grandchild Summerlyn Luthultz; and her sister Jamie Roberts (Al). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to assist with final expenses.

“PEGGY WAS SUCH A SWEET LADY! WE COULDN'T HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT HER AT OUR DAIRY QUEEN. SHE WAS OUR ROCK! WE COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON HER TO DEAL WITH WHATEVER CAME UP. SO MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS I WOULD SAY TO PEGGY, WE HAVE 8 SCHOOL BUS'S COMING TODAY. WE WILL BE NEEDING 500 HAMBURGERS AND 500 FRENCH FRYS WHILE STILL BEING OPEN FOR OUR REGULAR BUSINESS. SHE COULD HANDLE WHATEVER CAME HER WAY ALWAYS WITH A SMILE!. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER PEGGY WITH LOVE! RON AND LEE MARTIN”
