He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Thornton and Enda Ainsworth Thornton; his wife Lucy Boyette Thornton; his son Glynn Orban Thornton; and his siblings, Lee Fay Rogers, Lois Brown and Lloyd Thornton.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Smith; his grandchildren, Bradley Smith (Angel), Brandi Smith, Ryan Thornton and Reese Thornton; his sister Mildred Duffey; and his nephew David Brown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
